Community

About membership and signing up.

Who can become a member?

Anyone looking for an open-minded community with class. You sign up and are immediately welcome on the platform, with no review and no waiting time. That doesn't grant automatic access to every Space: individual Spaces can set their own admission criteria, such as The Pineapple Club, the Space where every application is personally reviewed, and we monitor the community's balance and may temporarily pause sign-ups for men if needed.

What's the age limit?

You must be at least 21 years old to become a member, with no exceptions. That bar is deliberately set higher than the legal age of majority of 18: The Pineapple Club is built around adult choices around consent, intimacy and discretion, and that calls for more life experience than the legal minimum. We verify your age at sign-up and check it again at the door of every event, so you can be sure everyone around you is genuinely 21 or older too. There's no upper age limit: our community includes people of many different ages who share the same open-minded outlook. If a host has doubts about your age at the door, we may ask for further confirmation before you're let in.

How do you check members' age?

We verify this at two moments. At sign-up, you state your age, which is recorded right away, with no review or ID check. At the door of an event, this is checked again, so you can be sure everyone around you at that moment is genuinely 21 or older, not just on paper at sign-up. If a host has doubts about your age, further confirmation may be requested before you're let in. This double check, at sign-up and at the door, is exactly why we hold the age limit strictly: a profile approved months ago says nothing about who's actually standing at the door tonight.

How does the application process work?

You fill in an application that takes about 10 minutes: who you are, who you're applying with, and what you're looking for. Once that profile is complete, you're immediately welcome on the platform: no review and no waiting time. For access to The Pineapple Club itself, the Space where every application is personally reviewed, we mostly look at who you are and whether you fit the community; a personal invitation helps with that, but isn't required. Couples form the core of the community. Single women are warmly welcome, with extra attention from our hosts from the very first moment, and can also attend events solo. Single men can simply sign up; we monitor the balance and may temporarily pause sign-ups for men if needed. Note: access to the platform isn't automatically access to every Space, some Spaces set their own, additional admission criteria.

Why don't I have access to a particular Space?

Access to the platform doesn't automatically mean access to every Space. Individual Spaces can set their own, additional requirements, for example around profile, composition or experience, to protect the atmosphere and balance within that specific circle. If you don't currently meet a Space's requirements, you simply remain a platform member and can still use other Spaces and events. So it's rarely personal in the sense of 'you're not good enough', more often a matter of fit with that particular circle. It's also never final: you can always look at that Space again at a later point.

Can I get access to a Space again later?

Yes. If you don't currently meet a Space's requirements, that's never final. Spaces can adjust their own requirements at any time, and your profile can also change in the meantime. There's no fixed waiting period and no separate procedure: as soon as you meet the requirements, you get access. Not sure if you qualify? Check the Space itself for the exact conditions.

Why can sign-ups for men sometimes pause temporarily?

Single men can simply sign up, just like everyone else, with no introduction needed to get started. Because there's typically more supply of men than of couples and women in a community like ours, we do actively protect the balance. If it comes under pressure, we may temporarily pause sign-ups for men, until that balance is restored. That's not a punishment or a permanent closure, but a way of keeping the community healthy as it grows.

Can my account become a couple's account later?

Yes. If you find a partner, whether inside the community or elsewhere, and want to take part together, we'll convert your account into a couple's account on request. That fits better with how you actually take part from then on: attending events together, with a profile that shows you as a couple rather than as a separate individual. The conversion can happen at any time, there's no waiting period or separate application involved, and your membership tier (Member, Ambassador or Inner Circle) simply carries over as it was. If the relationship later ends, we'll help you cleanly separate the account, so each of you can continue within the community individually, keeping your own privacy and without the other retaining access to your side of the profile. Reach out whenever you'd like to convert or separate an account, and we'll take care of it.

What happens to a couple's account after a break-up?

We help you cleanly separate the account, so each of you can continue within the community individually, while keeping your own privacy. In practice that means each of you gets your own individual account again, and data that only belonged to the relationship, such as shared messages or a joint profile, isn't automatically shared or kept visible to the other person. Your membership tier, Member, Ambassador or Inner Circle, generally carries over, though you can also each choose a different tier after separating. Reach out to us whenever this becomes relevant, and we'll guide the process personally rather than have you handle it through a setting yourself, precisely because privacy and care matter extra here.

Can I take a look around first, without going straight to an event?

Definitely. You don't have to go straight to a big, exclusive event to find out whether The Pineapple Club is right for you. Through updates in your account, you can first build a picture of what's happening within the community, without having to do anything for it. Bar Dates is also deliberately the most low-key concept: an evening at a regular bar, in rotating cities, with no set programme, where you can get used to the atmosphere and the people at your own pace. Once that feels right, you take the step to something more exclusive, like The Pineapple Club Night. There's no required order or minimum number of Bar Dates before you're allowed anywhere else, it's simply a way to get to know things at your own pace.

Does something sexual have to happen, or can I just come to socialise?

Nothing is required, at any level. Our evenings are about connection on your terms, from simply a good conversation and observing to more, and that choice is and stays yours, all night long. That's not an empty promise but an explicit principle in our code of conduct: silence, hesitation, politeness, flirting or previous interest are never consent, and you can always change your mind after saying yes. Flirting is welcome, pushing is not, no one owes you their attention, conversation or time. Plenty of guests come purely to socialise and get a feel for the atmosphere, especially at a low-key concept like Bar Dates, and that's just as legitimate a reason to be there as any other. Hosts are there partly to safeguard exactly this kind of boundary, so no one feels pressured.

Is this only for couples, or can I take part on my own too?

Couples form the core of the community, but you don't need to be part of a couple to take part. Single women are warmly welcome and get extra attention from our hosts from the very first moment, and you can attend events fully solo too. Single men can also simply sign up: we do actively protect the community's balance, since there's typically more interest from men than from couples and women. Signing up doesn't grant automatic access to every Space, and we may temporarily pause sign-ups for men if the balance comes under pressure. For everyone, the same applies: there's no fixed quota per group.

How do I know other members are real and not a fake profile?

Every profile photo goes through automated image screening for things like nudity, weapons, violence and drugs, with a human moderator stepping in if there's any doubt. You can also earn a verification badge: it confirms, through a short selfie and liveness check (for example blinking or smiling), that you're a live person who really is who they say they are, without needing to share an ID document or us relying on an external ID-verification service. That selfie goes through the same review as your other profile photos. That way, automated photo screening combines with the optional verification badge: together they confirm a profile matches the real person behind it.

Could someone from my own circle find out I'm a member here?

Discretion is our foundation, not an extra. Your profile and photos are shielded by default, and your own privacy settings let you decide who can see you, not an algorithm or a default you have to go looking for. What you share or experience here stays within the community: that's an explicit principle in our code of conduct, alongside the ban on gossip or exposure about other people's choices. It stays discreet on your bank statement too: 'The Pineapple Club' will never appear there. As an Inner Circle member, you can also browse fully anonymously, with a hidden profile and online status, so you can stay invisible even within the platform itself to anyone you haven't chosen to let in. In short: the odds of someone from your own circle stumbling onto this by accident are kept as low as we can make them.

What makes The Pineapple Club different from a dating app or swingers site?

We're not a loose platform where you swipe and match yourself, but a private community with real events and hosts who safeguard the atmosphere, stylish rather than noncommittal. There's no recommendation algorithm matching members to each other: you decide for yourself who you see and who you reach out to. Where a dating app or swingers site mostly stays online, everything with us is about actually meeting in real life, at Bar Dates, The Pineapple Club Night or one of our other concepts, with hosts guiding the evening. Discretion is also the foundation, not an extra: from how we bill to how we handle each other's privacy. Read the full story on The Pineapple Club and About us.

What does a host do at The Pineapple Club?

A host safeguards the atmosphere and safety of a Space or event, welcomes guests personally and helps new members feel at home from the first minute, both online and during events. If you arrive solo and don't know anyone, that's exactly what hosts are there for: they welcome you, introduce you to other guests, and make sure you're not left standing on the sidelines. During an evening, hosts also keep watch over the energy of the room: they step in if someone oversteps a line, address inappropriate behaviour, and their instructions are part of our code of conduct. Hosts aren't decoration, they're the people who make sure the atmosphere is right and everyone feels safe, from arrival to departure.

How do you ensure a safe, pleasant atmosphere?

With a combination of clear rules and people who actually enforce them. Our code of conduct has sixteen principles, from 'consent is essential' to 'no cameras without consent', and applies to profiles, messages, photos and events. Hosts and moderators actively uphold that standard during events, not just on paper: they step in on boundary-crossing behaviour and their instructions are to be followed. Profile photos also go through automated screening for nudity, weapons, violence and drugs among other things, with human review in case of doubt. If you still feel uncomfortable, you can report it or block someone at any time, before, during or after an event. Every signal is taken seriously, and violations of the code of conduct can lead to consequences ranging from a warning to permanent exclusion.

What happens if I report inappropriate behaviour?

Your report is picked up seriously and quickly, on average within 24 hours, with priority for Inner Circle members. You can report before, during or after an event: hosts and moderators are present to address discomfort directly, and online reports can be filed at any time through your account or contact. Every report is handled with care, never brushed off or ignored, even for a subtle signal rather than an outright violation. Depending on severity, a violation of the code of conduct can lead to a warning, limited functionality, removal of content, exclusion from a specific event, suspension, or permanent termination of membership. You should never have to weigh 'is this worth reporting': every signal is taken seriously, from minor discomfort to boundary-crossing behaviour.

What is Inner Circle?

Inner Circle is our premium tier, built for members who want more control and priority. You get everything Ambassador includes, plus anonymous browsing and a hidden profile and online status: you view profiles without your visit being visible, so you can look around at your own pace with no obligations, and you decide yourself whether free members can see your profile or your online status. Inner Circle gives you room for 3 plus-ones per event instead of 1, and free annual access to our big TPC Platform event. Your support requests get priority too, handled on average within 24 hours. Inner Circle is billed once a year: €95.40/year, shown as €7.95/month, there's no separate monthly plan, and it renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account settings, no notice period. More on what each tier adds is on Membership & pricing.

Do I need to be able to identify myself at an event?

Yes, we may check upon entry that your name, profile photo and account match the ticket that was bought, and that applies to you as well as to any plus-ones you bring. That's not distrust aimed at you personally, it's part of how we safeguard the evening's safety and atmosphere: we want to be sure the people coming in really are who their profile says they are. The same check goes alongside the age check at the door, which also reconfirms your minimum age of 21, separately from what was already established when you signed up. You don't need to show formal ID for this, it's a visual match between you, your profile photo and your ticket. If a host still has doubts, they may ask for extra confirmation before letting you in.

Platform

About privacy, costs and your account.

How do I browse anonymously?

Anonymous browsing is an Inner Circle feature: you view profiles without your visit becoming visible to the other person, so you can quietly explore who's on the platform, without immediately creating an expectation. It works together with the ability to hide your own profile from free Member accounts and to hide your online status, so you can stay just as invisible yourself if you want. You switch it on or off through your account settings, at any time, and it applies to your whole profile, not per conversation or per Space. Ambassador and Member don't have this feature; if you'd like to switch to Inner Circle to use it, you can do that at any time, with no waiting period or separate application.

Can I hide my profile from free members, or my online status?

Yes. From Ambassador on, you decide for yourself, through your own privacy settings, who can see your profile, instead of a default someone else chose for you. Want even more control, Inner Circle lets you hide your profile completely from free Member accounts and hide your online status, so others don't see when you're active. That same Inner Circle tier also gives you anonymous browsing: you view profiles without your visit being visible to the other person. These settings work independently of each other, so you could, for example, stay visible to other members while still hiding your online status, or the other way around. Everything can be changed through your account settings, at any time, without needing to contact us.

How do you handle my personal data?

Your data is stored encrypted, and our preference is to process it within the EEA: our own infrastructure runs on Hetzner in the EU. You decide for yourself, through your privacy settings, who sees what information about you, for example whether free members can see your profile or whether others see your online status. We don't share anything with third parties without reason, and we don't use your data for advertising or a recommendation algorithm. You're also always in control: you can download your data directly and have your account and all associated data deleted, without needing to say why. Where a party outside the EEA works with us, such as Apple or Google for sign-in and push notifications, additional GDPR safeguards apply, such as standard contractual clauses. Read more in our privacy policy.

Can I have my account and data deleted?

Yes, you're in control at any time: you can download your data directly and have your account and all associated data deleted, without needing to give a reason. Other GDPR requests, such as a specific question about what data we hold on you, are answered within the legal 30-day term via privacy@pineappleclub.nl. Our preference is to process and store data within the EEA: our own infrastructure runs on Hetzner in the EU. Where a party operates outside the EEA, such as Apple or Google for sign-in and push notifications, additional GDPR safeguards apply, such as standard contractual clauses. Deleting your account is permanent: if you're unsure, consider a temporary pause via your account settings first.

Which devices can I use the platform on?

The platform currently works entirely through your browser, on phone, tablet and laptop, so there's nothing to install to take part. Everything you'd expect from an app, from your profile and messages to the events overview and Spaces, already works just as well in mobile Safari or Chrome as on a bigger screen. Our native app for the App Store and Google Play is coming soon; once that's available, you'll also be able to take out a membership through an in-app purchase, and you'll then manage that subscription through your App Store or Google Play account instead of the website. Until then, little changes for your experience: your account, data and settings stay exactly the same regardless of which device you log in on, and there's nothing separate to register for.

Can I cancel or pause my membership?

Yes, you're not locked into anything. A paid membership, Ambassador or Inner Circle, is billed once a year and then renews automatically for the same period. Want to stop, you can cancel digitally at any time via your account settings, with no notice period. Cancel before the next renewal date and your membership won't continue after the current period, your account automatically drops back to the free Member tier. If the renewal has already gone through by the time you cancel, that year's payment obligation has already arisen and no refund applies to it. If you signed up through the App Store or Google Play, you manage or cancel that through your App Store or Google Play account, not through the website. You'll find your next renewal date in your account settings. We don't have a separate pause feature, downgrading to free works the same way in practice.

What's the difference between a free account and Inner Circle?

A free Member account already lets you get a feel for the community: a limited profile, viewing the events overview, browsing a limited number of members, and basic support. Ambassador (€35.40/year, shown as €2.95/month) adds a full profile with unlimited browsing, starting conversations yourself, priority on event tickets, 1 plus-one per event, and faster support. Inner Circle (€95.40/year, shown as €7.95/month) goes further still: everything from Ambassador, plus anonymous browsing with a hidden profile and status, 3 plus-ones per event, free annual access to the TPC Platform event, and priority support. Signing up and the Member account are and remain free, you decide yourself if and when you upgrade, and switching between Ambassador and Inner Circle can happen any time. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel from your account settings whenever you like, with no notice period, and you pay via iDEAL or credit card. More on what each tier adds is on Membership & pricing.

What does a membership cost?

Signing up and a basic (Member) account are and remain free: a limited profile, viewing the events overview, browsing a limited number of members, and basic support. Want more, then you decide how much. Ambassador is billed once a year, €35.40/year, shown as €2.95/month, and gives you a full profile with unlimited browsing, starting conversations yourself, priority on event tickets, 1 plus-one per event, and faster support. Inner Circle is billed once a year, €95.40/year, shown as €7.95/month, and adds anonymous browsing with a hidden profile and status, 3 plus-ones per event, free annual access to our TPC Platform event, and priority support. There are no hidden costs, the stated amount is everything you pay for the platform. You pay via iDEAL or credit card, and we bill discreetly: ‘The Pineapple Club’ will never appear on your bank statement. More on what each tier adds is on Membership & pricing.

Are there hidden costs on top of the membership fee?

No. Ambassador and Inner Circle are billed once a year (€35.40 and €95.40/year, shown as €2.95 and €7.95/month), that yearly amount is everything you pay for the membership itself, there's no separate monthly plan, service fee or increase added on without you knowing in advance. What does stay separate are event tickets and one-off purchases like credits, vouchers or drink tokens: those you buy individually, from your account, they're not part of your yearly membership fee and have their own terms. Signing up and a Member account are and remain completely free. Choose Ambassador or Inner Circle later, and you see the full yearly amount upfront, no surprises afterwards. Still unsure about a charge on your statement? Contact us, we're happy to help you figure it out.

Which payment methods do you accept?

You pay via iDEAL or credit card, that applies to both Ambassador and Inner Circle, both billed once a year. Once the app is available on the App Store and Google Play, you'll also be able to take out a membership via an in-app purchase, Apple and Google then process that payment themselves and store your card details, we only see a purchase confirmation. Managing or cancelling that kind of in-app subscription is then done through your App Store or Google Play account, not the website. We always bill discreetly: ‘The Pineapple Club’ will never appear on your bank statement. Signing up and a Member account stay free, so you don't need to add a payment method just to get to know the community. Missing a payment method you'd like to use? Let us know via contact, we're happy to look into adding it.

Is my membership renewed automatically, and how do I cancel it?

A paid membership, Ambassador (€35.40/year, shown as €2.95/month) or Inner Circle (€95.40/year, shown as €7.95/month), is billed once a year and then renews automatically for another year, there's no separate monthly plan. You can cancel digitally at any time from your account settings, no notice period. Cancel before your next renewal date, and the membership won't continue after the current year ends, your account then automatically drops back to the free Member tier. If the renewal has already gone through by the time you cancel, the payment obligation for that new year has already started, no refund applies to that. Took out a subscription via the App Store or Google Play? Then you manage or cancel it through your App Store or Google Play account, not the website. You can always check your next renewal date in your account settings.

Is signing up itself free, or do I pay before I'm admitted?

Signing up is and remains completely free, it only takes about ten minutes. You automatically start with a free Member account: a limited profile, viewing the events overview, browsing a limited number of members, and basic support. You only pay once you choose to upgrade to Ambassador (€35.40/year, shown as €2.95/month) or Inner Circle (€95.40/year, shown as €7.95/month), both billed annually, never earlier and never automatically. So there's no mandatory payment step between your application and your first look at the community, and no payment details needed to apply. Want more than the free account offers, like unlimited browsing or priority on event tickets? Then you choose that yourself, and when, you can upgrade or go back to free at any time from your account settings.

Does anything recognisable appear on my bank statement?

No. We bill discreetly: ‘The Pineapple Club’ will never appear on your bank statement. That applies to your Ambassador or Inner Circle membership, whether you pay via iDEAL or credit card, and regardless of the yearly amount being shown broken down as a monthly price. Discretion isn't an extra for us, it's the baseline, from how we communicate to how we bill: what you share or experience here stays within the community, and we apply that same principle to your bank statement. Still have a question about a specific charge, or don't recognise an amount? Contact us, we're happy to help you figure out where it came from. Once the app is available and you pay via an in-app purchase, the charge runs through your App Store or Google Play account, with whatever description Apple or Google use by default.

Can I withdraw from my membership within 14 days?

Yes, as a consumer you have a legal 14-day cooling-off period after purchasing a paid membership, and you can withdraw within that period without giving a reason. Because we ask for your explicit consent to get direct access to the platform, one exception applies: use the platform within those 14 days, and we may charge a reasonable, proportional amount for the period you've already used, the rest is refunded. Withdraw before you've used the platform, and you get the full amount back. This also applies if you took out a subscription via the App Store or Google Play, though the refund then runs through Apple's or Google's own refund policy, not directly through us. After that, a membership renews automatically for the same period, unless you cancel before the next renewal date via your account settings. See our terms and conditions for the exact rules.

Do you use my data for advertising or recommendations?

No. We don't show third-party advertising on the platform, and there's no algorithm that actively recommends or matches members or profiles to each other. You decide for yourself who you see and who you reach out to, not a system making suggestions about who you should match with based on your behaviour. For organizers, we do use aggregate behaviour, such as what kind of events a group of members attends, to surface a new event to members with similar interests; that's never about you as an individual towards other members. We'd also rather bring in new members through people who already know the community, for example through our referral programme, than through ads or recommendation systems: that fits how we've grown as a community, carefully rather than as fast as possible. Your data is used to make the platform itself work, for example showing events in your area, but never to link you to an advertising network.

Are your events wheelchair accessible?

We try to make our events accessible to as broad an audience as possible, but can't guarantee every venue is fully wheelchair-friendly: we work with rotating, often existing hospitality venues that aren't all set up the same way. If you're unsure whether a specific venue works for you, always check with us before buying a ticket, through contact or a host. We're happy to think through practical details like access to the entrance, the restroom or the dance floor, and we'll be upfront if something genuinely isn't feasible at a given venue. Because concepts and venues can change from edition to edition, this check applies fresh each time, even if an earlier venue was accessible.

Do I get anything if I refer someone who becomes a member?

Yes. Share your personal referral link, and once someone joins using it, you get a free month of Inner Circle. You'll find your own referral link in your account settings, ready to share via a message or social media, whichever Space they end up applying for. We don't show third-party ads and don't use a recommendation system to attract new members, we'd rather grow through people who already know and trust the community than through an algorithm. That fits how we've grown as a community: carefully, not as fast as possible, with attention to who fits in. Once your referral is used to create an account and that application is admitted, the free month is added to your account automatically, you don't need to do anything else to claim it, redeem it, or ask us for it.

Events

About tickets, access and the evening itself.

How do I see which events there are?

You'll find the full overview of upcoming events in your account: Pineapple Club Nights, Bar Dates and meet & greets, including location, date and whether there's still room. A selection of these is also on our events page, so you get a sense of what's planned even without logging in. In your account you can also immediately see whether an event is in a particular ticket wave, and whether your membership tier gives you priority there: Ambassador and Inner Circle members typically see and book earlier than a free Member account. Want to stay updated without checking yourself, mark an event as Interested and you'll get updates whenever something changes, for example a new ticket wave or a changed date.

How do I sign up for an event?

With one click in your account you indicate whether you're Going or Interested, and you immediately see whether there's still room or the event is already full. For a popular event we often work with several ticket waves in a row: members go first, and within that priority round Ambassador and Inner Circle members again get priority over each other and over a free Member account. Once you're marked Going and you've bought your ticket, you'll find all the practical details, like dress code and any rules around phones, on the event itself in your account. If an event is sold out, you can join the waitlist; if a spot opens up, we'll let you know right away so you can quickly decide whether you want to take it.

Do I need to be a member to buy a ticket?

Tickets go to our members first. Only once that priority round, known as a ticket wave, still has spots left do tickets become available to people interested who aren't yet members. Popular events often run several consecutive ticket waves, so members get their turn at different points. Within that priority round there's also an order by membership tier: Ambassador members get priority on event tickets, Inner Circle members additionally get priority support and free annual access to our big TPC Platform event. A free Member account always gives you visibility into the events overview, so you can see what's coming up even if you're not first in line for a ticket. Want to be sure you're on time for a popular event? Upgrading to Ambassador or Inner Circle is how you move earlier in the queue.

How do I buy tickets?

You buy tickets directly from the event page in your account, with one click. Members go first: only once that priority round, the ticket wave, is done do any remaining tickets become available to people who aren't members yet. Within that priority round there's also an order by membership tier: Ambassador and Inner Circle members get priority, and Inner Circle members also get free annual access to our big TPC Platform event. You pay via iDEAL or credit card, and we bill discreetly: 'The Pineapple Club' will never appear on your bank statement. A purchase is final: there's no refund policy for tickets, so always check the price and terms before you check out. Can't make it unexpectedly, we're happy to think along as a gesture of goodwill, but that's not a right. See our terms and conditions for the exact rules.

What does a ticket for an event cost?

That varies by event, venue and what's included, so always check the event section in your account for the current price. As a rough guide: a Bar Date typically starts around €59.50 per person, including snacks and drinks, and The Pineapple Club Night starts around €37.50 for a Lady ticket and €85 for a Couple ticket. Prices can differ by city and edition, and some tickets have a separate lady or couple price. Purchases are final, no refund policy applies to tickets, packages or credits, so always check the price and terms right before you check out. Can't make it to an event unexpectedly? We're happy to think along about a fair solution as a goodwill gesture, but that's not a right, see our terms and conditions for the exact rules. So check the price right before you pay, especially if an event sells across multiple ticket waves where the price can differ per wave.

Can I cancel my ticket or get a refund?

No, ticket purchases are final, there's no refund policy, regardless of the reason you can't make it. That applies to every concept and ticket type, from a single Bar Date to a Lady or Couple ticket for The Pineapple Club Night. If you unexpectedly can't attend an event, we're still happy to think along as a gesture of goodwill: for example by seeing whether someone else in the community can take over your ticket, or thinking through a solution for a future edition. That's not something you're automatically entitled to, though, and we can't guarantee a solution is always possible. So always check the price and terms carefully before checking out, especially for an event selling across multiple ticket waves.

Are there discounts on tickets for Inner Circle members?

Yes, though the benefit isn't a direct discount on the ticket price, it's free access and priority. Inner Circle members get free annual access to our big TPC Platform event, plus priority in ticket allocation for other events, along with priority support if something goes wrong while booking. Ambassador members also get priority on event tickets, but not the annual free access to the big platform event. A free Member account gives no ticket benefit at all, just visibility into the events overview to see what's planned. You can switch between tiers any time from your account settings, so if you want to be sure of a spot at the big annual event, Inner Circle is the tier that adds that benefit outright, while Ambassador mainly pays off if you buy individual tickets more often and want to be on time for popular nights.

Can I bring a plus-one/guest?

That depends on your membership. Inner Circle members have room for 3 plus-ones per event, Ambassador members can add 1 plus-one per event, Member-tier accounts attend solo or with a partner, with no plus-one spot. A plus-one is someone you bring who isn't a member themselves, you vouch for that introduction and for their behaviour during the event. At The Pineapple Club Night you can also be checked at the door on name, profile photo and account, and that applies to any plus-ones you bring too. Want to bring someone more often than your current tier allows? Upgrading to a higher tier is how you arrange that structurally, instead of asking for an exception every time via contact. This is separate from a couple's account: if your account later becomes a couple's account, your partner simply joins as a partner, not as a plus-one.

Can I attend an event as a single man?

Yes. You can simply submit an application yourself, just like everyone else, with no introduction needed; we do monitor the community's balance and may temporarily pause sign-ups for men if needed. On top of that, it's also always possible to come along with a friendly member couple: is your friendly couple coming to an event, are you being brought along as a plus-one, or have you arranged a suitable date? Then you're very welcome, as long as that specific event's ticket phase allows for it.

What can I expect on a Pineapple Club evening?

A carefully curated evening, with each concept having its own dress code we may check on entry, and guests who, like you, deliberately choose quality and style. Privacy comes first: many concepts have a no-phone policy or clear limits on phone use, precisely because taking photos or recordings is only allowed with the explicit consent of everyone in them. Hosts are on hand to safeguard the atmosphere and safety, welcome you personally and introduce you to other guests if you arrive solo or don't know anyone. The exact details vary by concept: Bar Dates is looser and more informal, The Pineapple Club Night is more intimate with stricter rules around phones and photography. So always check the practical information for the specific event in your account before you go.

Are phones allowed at events?

For many concepts we use a no-phone policy or clear restrictions on phone use, precisely because taking photos or recordings is only allowed with the explicit consent of everyone in them: a phone in hand makes that line harder to enforce. This protects the discretion and calm of our guests, including those who'd rather not end up on someone else's device without recognising it. The exact rule differs per concept and event: Bar Dates has a more relaxed atmosphere than The Pineapple Club Night, where rules around phones and photography tend to be stricter. Always check the practical details for a specific event in your account before you go, so you know what applies that night. Hosts keep an eye on this being followed throughout the evening.

Can I suggest an event myself?

Yes, you can put your own event forward for our team to consider. That can be a fully worked-out concept, with an idea for venue, theme and audience, or a looser idea that still needs shaping, we're happy to think it through with you. We review every proposal the same way as a regular application: carefully and personally, not automatically. If it fits our core values, the balance within the community and the quality members are used to, we'll develop it with you towards a real event on the calendar. If it's not quite right, we'll say so too, with an explanation, so you can adjust your next proposal. Get in touch to share an idea, or ask a host about it during an evening.

Are photos allowed at events, and what if I recognise someone?

Taking photos, videos or recordings is only allowed with the explicit consent of the people in them, that's code of conduct principle 8 and applies without exception, even for a 'quick one' in passing. Asking for consent afterwards, or assuming someone's fine with it, isn't enough. If you recognise someone from outside the community, on the street, at work or in your own circle, the same discretion as always applies: what you see, hear or experience here stays here, and you don't discuss or share it further, not even anonymously. It works both ways: just as you don't want someone else talking about you, you respect that same boundary for everyone you encounter here. Breaking this rule falls under our code of conduct and can lead to consequences up to termination of your membership.

What if I arrive solo and don't know anyone?

That happens more often than you'd think, and that's exactly why our hosts are there. They welcome you personally at the door, introduce you to other guests, and make sure you feel at ease from the first minute, instead of being left standing on the sidelines. Plenty of guests deliberately come solo, for example as a single woman, as a plus-one brought by a friendly couple, or simply because their partner couldn't make it that evening. The atmosphere within the community is built so that contact comes easily: a shared smile is often enough to start a conversation. Still feeling unsure, look for a host, they know the room and the other guests and are happy to help you figure out who'd be nice to meet.

What happens if an event is cancelled or rescheduled?

We let you know as early as possible by email and in your account, as soon as we know an event isn't going ahead or its date is changing. If we cancel, the same goodwill policy applies as for a cancellation on your part: we'll think seriously about a suitable solution, for example a spot at another edition, but that's not an automatic right to a refund, purchases remain final in principle. If an event is rescheduled to a different date, your ticket generally stays valid for the new date; if you can't make that, we'll look for a solution together, just as with a regular cancellation. We deliberately keep how often this happens low: we only finalise an event once the venue and lineup are truly confirmed.

If an event is full, do I go on a waitlist?

Yes, for a sold-out event you can join the waitlist with one click from the event page in your account. If a spot opens up, for example because someone cancels or a ticket wave is expanded, we'll let you know right away, by account notification and email, so you can quickly decide whether you want to take it. Your position on the waitlist doesn't depend on your membership tier, but Ambassador and Inner Circle members already get an earlier shot at a ticket in the preceding ticket wave, which makes it less likely you'll end up on the waitlist in the first place. There's no limit on how long you can stay on the waitlist until the event itself takes place.
