How it started
Four nights, four cities.
Since November 2025 we have hosted four nights in four cities. Every edition grew, and every edition taught us something new.
Utrecht, 1 November 2025: our first Bar Dates
We hosted our first Bar Dates in Utrecht, the Donstad, on the same evening as the Kamasutra fair, so guests could combine both. We were right by the central station, easy to reach for everyone. There were 75 spots, and they sold out in no time. That showed us there was real demand for more. We rented a section of a café and shared the rest of the bar with other guests. It quickly became clear that guests wanted more privacy. Afterwards, part of the group went on exploring the city together. For those who wanted the whole evening, we shared a hotel tip.
's-Hertogenbosch, 31 January 2026: a cellar full of character
We chose a cellar with a lot of character: a warm, intimate setting that was still fairly central. There was room for 150 people, and around 170 guests came. For the first time we worked with an all-in concept, with snacks and drinks included, and a DJ. The feedback was clear: people wanted more dancing and more party. That led us to the idea of a proper Pineapple Club party. We also shared a hotel tip. The Bourgondian spirit of the city shows everywhere, and after our party several initiatives sprang up: people went on for drinks together, or met up in a more intimate setting. The people were super lovely.
Breda, 18 April 2026: a full club
For Breda we rented an entire club, just for our own guests, with its own DJ, a lounge and lockers so you could change. About 430 people came. Some had expected it to be quieter for talking. So from now on we start with about an hour of calmer music, so people can get to know each other before the party kicks in.
Amsterdam, 26 September 2026: A Night in Paris
Amsterdam added a theme: A Night in Paris, with burlesque. The evening started calmly at the bar, and later people danced. Guests could book a hotel through the organization, and we were represented with around 20 rooms. That made for connections during the party, but also before and after.
